The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project owner representatives to assist with the day-to-day management and administration of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience and education in civil construction, construction management, engineering along with an interest in developing a career in heavy highway and underground utility construction. This role combines office-based project management responsibilities and regular field involvement on active construction sites. Our projects include water main and storm drainage installation and replacement, excavation, roadway restoration, streetscapes, roadway electrical, and other public infrastructure improvements. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of assigned construction projects. Review and implement construction plans, specifications, contract documents, scopes of work, and project requirements. Prepare, track, and maintain submittals, RFIs, change orders, correspondence, and other project documentation. Assist with project schedules, look-ahead schedules, work plans, and coordination of upcoming construction activities and help ensure work is performed according to project plans, specifications and contract requirements. Track project quantities, production, labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and costs. Coordinate and review daily reports, field documentation, delivery tickets, material tickets, photographs, and other project records for completeness and accuracy. Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews regarding project needs, daily activities and upcoming work. Coordinate and communicate with owner representatives, inspectors, engineers, utility companies, government agencies, and other project stakeholders. Visit active jobsites regularly to monitor field conditions and work in progress, verify quantities, and support project teams. Assist in identifying potential project delays, conflicts, additional work, and changes in scope, and promptly communicate these to the Project Manager. Maintain organized and accurate project files and ensure there is a complete documentation trail for project activities and decisions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Previous experience in heavy civil, heavy highway, underground utility, roadway, or infrastructure construction. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project activities in a fast-paced construction environment. Comfortable working both in an office environment and on active construction sites. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with construction project management, estimating, scheduling, or accounting software is a plus. Compensation Salary will be based on experience, education, and qualifications.
