Job Description

NOW HIRING
COMMERCIAL
AND FEDERAL MOVING ESTIMATOR
We are seeking an experienced professional to prepare estimates and proposals for commercial moving projects and Federal Government contracts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct site visits and evaluate the scope of each project. Calculate labor, working hours, trucks, equipment, packing materials, and additional costs. Prepare detailed estimates for office relocations, commercial buildings, and government agencies. Review requests for quotations, solicitations, Scopes of Work (SOW), and other contract documents. Prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable proposals. Calculate costs for packing, disassembly, transportation, storage, installation, and material disposal. Review floor plans, inventories, photographs, and furniture lists. Coordinate with the operations and administrative teams. Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and results from previous projects. Identify potential risks, special requirements, and unanticipated expenses.
Requirements:
Previous estimating experience within the commercial moving industry. Knowledge of government projects or federal contracts. Ability to interpret RFPs, RFQs, SOWs, and PWS documents. Knowledge of labor, equipment, insurance, transportation, and material costs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Fluency in English; Spanish is highly valued. Valid driver's license and availability to conduct on-site evaluations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using SAM.gov and other government contracting platforms. Knowledge of compliance requirements, wage determinations, and federal contract documentation. Experience estimating office relocations involving furniture, files, equipment, packing, and storage. Knowledge of the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia market.
Employment Type:

From $73,132.86 per year
