Project Manager Strayer Contracting - 5.0 Middle River, MD Job Details Full-time 22 hours ago Qualifications Coordinating with subcontractors on construction projects Full Job Description Project Manager Strayer Contracting Inc. | Maryland | Full-Time, On-Site About Us Strayer Contracting Inc. is a Maryland-based commercial contractor known for delivering projects on schedule, on budget, and to a high standard of quality. We're looking for an organized, hands-on Project Manager to take full ownership of assigned projects from bid through closeout. About the Role The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for all duties and tasks pertaining to their awarded project, from initial estimating handoff through final billing and closeout. This role requires strong organizational skills, comfort negotiating with subcontractors, and the ability to work closely with estimators, superintendents, and clients to keep projects on track. Responsibilities Meet with the Estimator to review all aspects of the project and bidding paperwork. Create and maintain the Job Book (physical job binder) and Job File (network file), ensuring all records and paperwork are organized and properly filed at all times. Contact the General Contractor/Owner to obtain the project schedule and required paperwork. Create submittal packages when not already created by the Estimator. Price out and negotiate with subcontractors. Approve all subcontractor invoices and maintain a log of invoices and payments. Develop an internal schedule reflecting appropriate man-days and labor schedules. Meet weekly with the Superintendent and their assistants to review: Manpower schedule for each job Percentage of project completion Estimated vs. actual labor remaining Estimated vs. actual material remaining Material tracking Change orders, including what falls above and beyond contract scope and how to report it on payroll Ticket work, including what falls above and beyond contract scope and how to report it on payroll Human resource issues Work with Admin to prepare monthly billing for submission to the Owner/GC. Close out project documents once all billing has been collected.
