Job Description
Assistant Project Manager Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Project Manager to support our project teams in delivering high-quality construction projects. This role involves assisting with client communication, coordinating project activities, and managing crew members to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with 3 to 5 years of experience spanning from framing to finish work, and possess excellent team management and communication skills. Responsibilities Facilitate effective communication with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates throughout the project lifecycle. Handle phone communications related to project coordination, scheduling, and client inquiries. Assist in managing daily project operations, including scheduling and supervising crew members with carpentry skills. Support the project team by ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to specifications. Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Utilize computer skills for project documentation, reporting, and scheduling purposes. Contribute to problem-solving efforts on-site and ensure that project milestones are met. Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution. Experience 3 to 5 years of carpentry experience, including framing through finish work. Proven ability to manage or oversee crew members with carpentry skills. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Demonstrated teamwork and collaborative abilities in a construction or related environment. Proficiency in computer applications relevant to project management is preferred.
