ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(25%)- Assist leadership teams in establishing project strategies, developing project plans, and providing consulting on process improvement methodologies. (25%)
- Improve workflows by assisting leaders in developing A3 problem-solving and innovation projects to gain efficiencies and reduce errors. (10%)
- Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using problem-solving fundamentals, statistical models, and other means as appropriate. (10%)
- Constantly promoting, educating and instilling a culture of continuous improvement. (10%)
- Assist in development strategies to eliminate process variation and standardizing care processes within MyMichigan Health. (10%)
- Develops effective and trusting working relationships with all levels of staff including but not limited to front line staff, administrators, and clinical leaders. (10%)
- Provides technical assistance and education to hospital departments relative to meeting objectives.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Possess knowledge and demonstrate use of business consulting, analytics and business intelligence, management engineering and operations research methodologies and tools. Perform business case analysis and feasibility, including the examination of costs, benefits, and risks associated with the proposed investment or project. Recommend alternatives for solutions and highlight strategic implications. Certifications and Licensures N/A Required Education Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required(Health Care, Industrial & Operational Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Quantitative Analytics discipline). Master's Degree preferred. Other InformationREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Relevant process improvement, project management, and/or innovation certification preferred (e.g. Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, Strategyzer, etc). Experience in project management and change management. Able to work in both clinic and hospital environment. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to watch patient care activities. Knowledge and experience related to the following computer systems and software are preferred, including: Excel, Word, Visio, JMP, and others.PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS 1.
Must be able to lift 20 lbs. 2. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering, and feeling. 3. Ability to handle multiple tasks and stressful situations. 4. Overall vision is necessary, including reading and close up work. 5. Hearing and speech on the phone as well as in person are necessary. 6. Must be able to communicate verbally in person, on the phone and in writing. 7. Must be able to freely move around the department or hospital. 8. Frequently position requires regular public contact, decision-making and exposure to stress. 9. Frequently required to sit for long periods of time. 10.
