Position Overview Gundlach Champion, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Team on an exciting project in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan . This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to gain valuable experience in project coordination, document control, scheduling, change management, and field operations while working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents. Key Responsibilities:
> Create, maintain, and track project documentation including: RFIs Submittals Shop drawings Daily reports Safety and quality control documents Meeting minutes Permits and closeout documentation > Ensure document control procedures comply with company standards. > Track and coordinate project changes, construction bulletins, and scope modifications. > Prepare and submit change request documentation. >•Assist with project scheduling and schedule updates. >•Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support successful project delivery. > Attend owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings and record meeting minutes. Qualifications Preferred Experience 1-3 years of construction industry experience. Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR Associate degree with relevant construction experience. Desired Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. High proficiency with computers, tablets, and smartphones. Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and cloud-based applications. Bluebeam experience is a plus. Strong desire to grow toward a Project Manager role. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license required. Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screening requirements. Ability to represent Gundlach Champion professionally with clients, owners, subcontractors, and community partners. Commitment to company values, safety, and quality. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and reach overhead. Ability to read plans, schedules, estimates, and electronic documents. Work Environment This position is primarily based in the project jobsite trailer in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Regular computer and phone use is required. Travel to and from the project site is required. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
