Job Description

The Sub-System Technical Project Manager is the primary propulsion systems lead at an assembly plant in Sterling Heights. This role supports the successful integration of propulsion hardware, software, and calibrations into vehicle production. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. 6-8+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, vehicle integration, propulsion systems, product development, launch activities, or production support. Knowledge of hardware and software/calibration release processes. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills. Ability to work on-site at the Plant and support off-shift production needs when required. Experience supporting vehicle launches, production ramp-ups, or assembly plant operations. Key Responsibilities Production & System Integration Lead the integration of propulsion system components, software, and calibrations into plant operations. Ensure the correct hardware, software releases, and vehicle build configurations are available and ready for production. Coordinate software and calibration releases for plant flash stations. Issue Management & Problem Solving Lead troubleshooting activities for propulsion-related issues found in the plant. Define problems, assign owners, track actions, and drive issues to closure. Support resolution of quality, manufacturing, supplier, and engineering concerns impacting propulsion systems. Escalate critical issues that may impact production schedules. Build & Production Support Support execution builds and verify correct propulsion parts, fit, function, and quality. Represent propulsion systems during testing, end-of-line activities, vehicle audits, and quality reviews. Coordinate plant-based engineering testing and evaluation activities. Ensure production teams have accurate information regarding parts, software requirements, build instructions, and production timing.
Cross-Functional Leadership Pay:
$92,998.44 - $120,998.12 per year
