Job Description
Project Manager - Millwork The Project Manager is responsible for the on time and cost optimizing delivery of all millwork projects assigned to them by the Senior Project Manager. In concert with these obligations, the Project Manager is expected to ensure a world class experience for customers throughout a project s lifecycle. The Project Manager will obtain critical project data from customers and field reps alike and accurately disseminate this data to internal stakeholders who will help to facilitate the project s completion. This position will monitor and manage every phase of a millwork Project through effective communication and coordination with other functional areas of the Company (production, field reps, design, install, etc.), in addition to communication with customers. Furthermore, this role is tasked with assisting in the determination of project resource requirements and the creation of project schedules and budgets and then monitoring those schedules and budgets to ensure they re met. The Project Manager will consistently review customer orders to ensure accurate and on time product delivery, while, at the same time, monitoring costs to ensure estimates are met or beaten.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(include but are not limited to) Manage assigned projects during their lifecycle to ensure optimal profitability through effective planning/organization and monitoring of each project phase. Ensure the timely and quality fulfillment of customer orders through communication, coordination, and teamwork with other functional areas Assist in determining production timing/prioritization through planning with various stakeholders (Millwork & Graphic Production areas, Design, etc.) and work with these parties to implement new products and/or processes Effectively communicate information both written and verbal, issues, requests, & other pertinent items to internal and external parties to ensure projects stay on time, on budget and within scope of committed deliverables Review CAD drawings (layouts & machining files) for accuracy Enter pertinent data into company cost accounting systems as needed and forecast accurately Maintain current knowledge of the millwork programs, specifically staying abreast of materials used or pertinent technological advances Other duties as assigned by Manager/Company ManagementREQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
(include but are not limited to) Proficiency with computers and the MS Office Suite, Excel and Word mandatory Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with internal and external customers Extensive knowledge of millwork production materials & techniques including the ability to read/interpret blueprint and CAD drawings Detailed, with strong time management and organizational skills Coordinate with general contractors, architects, design groups and third-party resources Ability to manage complex projects Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure Critical thinking/problem solving skillsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of demonstrated success managing architectural millwork projects/programs from a cost, quality and customer relations perspective Demonstrated successful experience working both autonomously and with others in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detailPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as a millwork fabricator and/or a millwork CAD designer Bachelor s Degree in business and/or Project Management certification Direct experience with rollout project managementPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(include but are not limited to) The ability to stay seated for extended periods working at a computer Will walk around to coordinate work or engage coworkers dailyWORK ENVIRONMENT
