Position Overview The Design & Remodeling Project Coordinator serves as a key operational partner to the design team and leadership, helping ensure projects, procurement activities, client communications, and business operations run smoothly and efficiently. Because this role directly supports active remodeling projects, client selections, procurement, vendor coordination, and project execution, we are seeking a candidate with prior industry experience who can contribute quickly with minimal ramp-up time. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, self-motivated, technically proficient, and eager to grow with our company. This individual enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, learning new systems, and providing outstanding support to clients, vendors, and team members. A background in kitchen and bath remodeling, cabinetry, design-build, or residential construction is essential to successfully support our projects and clients. This is an in-office position located in Wixom, Michigan. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office five days per week. Responsibilities Project Coordination Support multiple kitchen, bath, and residential remodeling projects from design through completion. Maintain project schedules, timelines, deadlines, and documentation. Coordinate client selections, specifications, product information, and project records. Organize project files, contracts, proposals, and supporting documentation. Coordinate project meetings and follow up on action items. Track project milestones and assist in keeping projects on schedule. Client & Vendor Relations Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, vendors, suppliers, and trade partners. Coordinate project communications and updates. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers. Ensure timely responses and follow-through on client and vendor requests. Support the delivery of an exceptional client experience throughout the remodeling process. Procurement & Purchasing Coordinate purchasing, ordering, and tracking of cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, materials, and other project-related products. Monitor lead times, order status, and delivery schedules. Maintain procurement records and purchasing documentation. Coordinate deliveries and project logistics. Resolve order discrepancies, damaged goods, and vendor issues as needed. Operations & Administrative Support Support daily office operations and administrative functions. Maintain company databases, project management systems, and digital records. Assist with contracts, project documentation, and operational processes. Support marketing initiatives, social media activities, and special projects as needed. Help implement and utilize technology and business software to improve efficiency, communication, and project coordination. Financial Support Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Support invoice preparation and payment tracking. Track project-related expenditures and maintain accurate records. Assist leadership with reporting and administrative support as needed. Qualifications Required 3-5+ years of experience working in a kitchen and bath design firm, remodeling company, cabinetry showroom, residential builder, architecture firm, residential construction company, or related industry. Experience supporting remodeling, design-build, construction, cabinetry, showroom operations, or renovation projects. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Strong technology aptitude and willingness to learn new software, systems, and business applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Professional, polished, and client-focused demeanor. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and cloud-based business applications. Proficiency with QuickBooks, including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial recordkeeping. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience with procurement, purchasing, and vendor management. Experience coordinating cabinetry, finish selections, fixtures, or remodeling materials. Familiarity with project management, CRM, and design-build software platforms. Experience with 20/20 Design, cabinetry software, Canva, or other kitchen and bath design platforms is beneficial but not required.
