About the Position Our summer internship program provides hands-on exposure to the electrical construction industry while preparing you for your career after graduation. Working closely with a project manager, you'll gain experience across project coordination, safety, estimating, scheduling, customer communication, and financial performance. This opportunity is designed for students who are excited to build a career in electrical construction. Regional Opportunity This position is based within one of ArchKey's regional markets and supports projects in the surrounding area. Your internship assignment will be connected to a regional office and may include work across multiple active projects, depending on business needs. Day in the Life As an intern, you'll support the project team and gain exposure to the day-to-day work involved in delivering a successful electrical construction project.
You may:
Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, and coordination. Assist with estimating, bid proposals, purchasing, payments, and change orders. Work with project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, general contractors, and customers. Gain hands-on exposure to project safety practices and OSHA requirements. Help monitor project progress, budget, quality, and schedule. Assist with engineering and other project-related activities as needed. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field. Strong interest in pursuing a career in the electrical construction industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Prior construction experience is a plus. Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Accubid, or other construction technology is a plus. Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
