Job Description
Job Summary Our client, a leading global organization, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team! This position is an 8-month contract located in Wayzata, Minnesota. Candidates based in Wayzata are preferred, but candidates located within one hour of the Minneapolis time zone will also be considered. This role will lead the global transition of IT managed services from one external provider to another, coordinating approximately 15 simultaneous workstreams across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will bring experience overseeing large-scale global IT implementations, managing external vendors, mitigating implementation risks, and maintaining disciplined project planning and reporting This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Lead project oversight for a large-scale global IT managed services provider transition spanning multiple regions Coordinate approximately 15 simultaneous workstreams, managing dependencies, milestones, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, costs, staffing, timelines, risks, and overall project status Manage vendor communications and partnerships, driving accountability for agreed-upon schedules, deliverables, and project commitments Identify and mitigate implementation risks, remove project obstacles, and escalate issues requiring stakeholder decisions Provide stakeholders with timely and detailed reporting on project progress, risks, issues, costs, staffing, and key decisions Maintain accurate project data and documentation within project and performance management tools Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 5+ years of relevant project management experience, with a minimum of 4 years required Experience leading large-scale, global IT implementations involving multiple regions and external vendors Experience coordinating multiple simultaneous workstreams, including dependencies, milestones, schedules, and deliverables Experience with IT managed services implementations and/or managed service provider transitions Strong vendor management experience, including driving accountability, managing schedules and deliverables, and escalating issues Experience developing detailed project plans and managing scope, cost, staffing, resources, risks, timelines, and status reporting Demonstrated experience identifying and mitigating implementation risks and coordinating stakeholders to resolve project obstacles Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience supporting IT managed services within a plant-support environment Experience overseeing projects involving approximately 15 or more concurrent workstreams Experience managing complex global vendor transitions across multiple geographic regions Experience working within large, global enterprise IT environments Experience using project or performance management tools to maintain project data and documentation Experience supporting highly coordinated, multi-vendor implementation programs Previous experience within a global agricultural, manufacturing, or plant-based organization
