Job Description

Water / Wastewater EngineerKansas City, MO | Hybrid | Municipal InfrastructureA well‑established civil engineering consultancy in Kansas City is looking to add a Water / Wastewater Engineer to its growing municipal water team. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, long‑term infrastructure projects that directly impact local communities across the KC metro and surrounding region.

The RoleYou'll support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, working closely with project managers, senior engineers, and public‑sector clients. Depending on experience, the role can be tailored toward either technical delivery or broader project responsibility.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and modelling of water and wastewater systems (treatment, conveyance, pump stations, pipelines)Support project delivery from planning through detailed design and construction supportCoordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and regulatory agenciesPrepare technical reports, calculations, and design documentationMentor junior engineers (for mid‑ to senior‑level hires)What They're Looking ForCivil or Environmental Engineering backgroundExperience in municipal water and/or wastewater projectsEIT or PE preferred (or working toward licensure)Strong communication skills and comfort working with public‑sector clientsExperience with tools such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or relevant hydraulic/process software is a plusWhy This Opportunity?
