Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Management / Data & Automation Specialist to support ongoing projects at a large industrial facility in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This position combines project management support with advanced SQL, Excel, VBA, data analysis, and workflow automation . The successful candidate will use strong technical, organizational, and communication skills to develop management tools, automate repetitive processes, analyze project data, and improve reporting capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project controls or project management professional who is highly proficient in SQL, advanced Excel, and VBA . Key Responsibilities Provide technical and operational support for ongoing projects. Develop new project management and reporting tools. Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects . Analyze project and operational data to support reporting and management needs. Build and maintain automated Excel-based tools and dashboards . Utilize advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables, and data-analysis functions. Develop and maintain VBA macros to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency. Identify opportunities to automate existing reporting and project-management processes. Maintain accurate, organized, and reliable project data. Work with project stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop effective technical solutions. Support project management and project controls activities as needed. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations: High School Diploma + 14 years of relevant experience Bachelor's Degree + 10 years of relevant experience Master's Degree or higher + 8 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: Advanced SQL Microsoft Excel VBA / Excel Macros Workflow and reporting automation SQL queries and stored procedures Database reporting Excel dashboards and advanced formulas Pivot tables and data analysis Project Management practices Project Controls Earned Value Management (EVM) or a fundamental understanding of Earned Value Developing management and reporting tools Large-scale industrial, manufacturing, construction, government, defense, or similarly complex project environments Compensation $44.00-$48.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. This position is located in Pascagoula, MS and is expected to have an initial duration of approximately one year . Candidates with a strong combination of project management/project controls experience and hands-on SQL, Excel, and VBA expertise are encouraged to apply. #
