Omega Construction is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the day-to-day management of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, taking ownership of key project processes while building the skills to run your own projects - the APM role is a direct step on Omega's path to Project Manager. What You'll Do You'll serve as a critical link between the field and the office, keeping project documentation, subcontractor coordination, and financial tracking moving so the team can build efficiently. You'll gain hands-on exposure to every phase of the project lifecycle while working directly with project leadership. Key responsibilities include Assisting the Project Manager with buyout, including scope review, subcontract preparation, and purchase orders Managing the submittal and RFI process - logging, tracking, reviewing for conformance, and driving timely responses from the design team Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers on schedules, deliveries, and documentation requirements Supporting monthly pay application preparation, including subcontractor billings through GCPay and owner billing review Maintaining accurate project documentation in Viewpoint, including change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs Assisting with project schedule updates and lookahead planning in coordination with the Superintendent Preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes for OAC and subcontractor meetings Tracking and processing change requests, from pricing through owner approval Supporting project closeout, including punch list management, O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built Building relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors that reflect Omega's commitment to trust What You'll Bring Prior experience as a Project Engineer or in a construction project support role (industrial projects experience preferred) Working knowledge of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive); experience with Viewpoint, Bluebeam, and GCPay a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field and office teams alike Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management abilities A proactive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn A strong work ethic and commitment to representing Omega's interests on every project Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
