Roofing Full Job Description General Responsibilities:
Terracon is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Facilities Service Line , supporting commercial facilities projects with a focus on roofing systems, building enclosures, and waterproofing . This position is well‑suited for a professional who can manage projects from planning through construction while leading field teams and maintaining strong control over scope, schedule, and budget. Key Responsibilities Serve as Project Manager for facilities‑related projects involving: Roofing systems (low‑slope and steep‑slope) Building enclosure components (walls, flashings, air and vapor barriers) Waterproofing systems (below‑grade, foundations, plaza decks, and podiums) Plan, execute, and track project tasks, schedules, and deliverables Develop and manage project budgets , including cost tracking, forecasting, and change management Review and manage: Contractor submittals for compliance with project documents Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate responses with internal and external stakeholders Pay applications , including verification of quantities, percent complete, and recommendations for approval Provide construction phase services , including field observations, quality control, and coordination with contractors Lead and support field teams , ensuring work aligns with project requirements, safety standards, and schedules Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal technical staff to ensure successful project delivery Support closeout activities, including documentation review and final reporting Required Qualifications Experience managing commercial (non‑residential) facilities projects Demonstrated experience with roofing, building enclosure, and waterproofing systems Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and construction administration processes Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Experience leading teams in the field and coordinating with contractors Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license Project Management Professional (PMP) certification IIBEC certifications (e.g., RRC, RRO, RWC) Experience with facilities condition assessments, capital planning, or remedial construction support Why Terracon Terracon offers the opportunity to manage impactful facilities projects within a collaborative, employee‑owned firm.
