Precision Machining Project Manager

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Manager to oversee the quotation process for precision machined components. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CNC machining, cost analysis, and customer communication to ensure accurate and competitive quotes. Your proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential to success. Responsibilities Manage the full RFQ lifecycle, from initial receipt to quote submission and order review, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Analyze technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates for manufacturing precision parts. Collaborate with machinists, material specialists, and quality personnel to refine cost estimates and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Serve as the primary point of contact for designated customers, leading technical discussions and addressing inquiries related to quotations. Evaluate product cost-effectiveness and profitability, recommending adjustments to margins as needed to align with company goals. Proactively communicate with sales and production teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded throughout the quotation process. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Required Skills 7+ years of experience in CNC machining and a strong hands-on machining background. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T. Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters. Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
