Type:

full-time Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC, has been engaged by a Triangle-based commercial general contractor to conduct a search for a Project Manager. This general contractor focuses on mid-market, complex commercial construction and is especially interested in candidates with experience delivering life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or other technically complex commercial construction projects. Their Project Managers own their projects from preconstruction through closeout, serving as the primary point of accountability for the client, trade partners, and project team. Key Responsibilities Manage the work : Take ownership of the details, financials, schedule, risk, and execution required to deliver a successful project.

This includes:

Preconstruction and estimating Budgeting, procurement, and scheduling Project execution and financial performance Subcontractor and project-team coordination Lead the client experience: Communicate clearly, anticipate issues, bring solutions, and earn the trust that turns one project into a long-term relationship.

Client leadership and effective communication Relationship management throughout project execution and beyond completion Help build what comes next: Strengthen relationships, recognize opportunities, develop the people around you, and contribute to the companies' continued growth.

This includes:

Build and maintain relationships with owners, brokers, architects, developers, and trade partners Identifying and helping develop future opportunities Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience Experience managing projects up to $10M Strong estimating and preconstruction background Experience with life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, cleanroom, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or other technically complex construction environments strongly preferred Understanding of complex MEP systems and the coordination required on highly technical projects Experience working in occupied, phased, fast-track, or operational environments Working knowledge of AIA contract structures, change management, project controls, and budget development Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to build trust, navigate difficult conversations, and maintain relationships throughout the life of a project Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar tools Existing relationships within the Triangle commercial construction market are strongly valued Metrics & Expectations Success in this role means owning your projects and delivering a great experience for clients.
