Substation Assistant Project Manager About the Role Location United States of America North Carolina Raleigh Remote vs. Office Office/Site only Company Siemens Energy, Inc. Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Substations Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Early Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Join our Substations Group within the Transmission Business Unit and support critical projects that transfer energy efficiently, reliably, and sustainably. You'll lead and coordinate activities that keep timelines sharp, budgets balanced, and customer expectations exceeded. From managing P&L responsibilities to collaborating with cross-functional teams across the globe, you'll be right at the center of ensuring project success while expanding your technical expertise in GIS, AIS, and switchgear products. How You'll Make an Impact Lead project activities to meet timelines, customer expectations, and financial objectives. Manage core project functions - scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change/opportunity management, forecasting, and leadership reporting. Oversee P&L responsibilities for assigned project tasks and actively reduce non-conformance costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan outcomes, allocate resources, and manage schedules and budgets. Expand your knowledge of GIS, AIS, Balance of Plant, and switchgear products while supporting complex electrification systems projects. What You Bring Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a similar field. 3+ years' experience in Power Systems or Substations. Master's degree in engineering or engineering management is a plus. Strong communication, leadership, and customer relationship skills. Experience in process improvement, quality management, and working with global teams. Understanding of GIS/AIS, Balance of Plant, and switchgear products; PMP or equivalent Project Management certification preferred. Willing to travel 30% domestically and internationally.
