Job Description

Project Planning & Coordination  Define and maintain the project scope, deliverables, milestones, schedule, and budget requirements.  Develop project execution plans and coordinate work from preconstruction through completion.  Plan manpower, equipment, tools, materials, and subcontractor needs in coordination with field leadership.  Maintain look-ahead schedules and identify constraints early enough to prevent avoidable delays. Team Leadership & Communication  Provide clear direction, priorities, and expectations to project team members and field leadership.  Coordinate regularly with foremen, lead personnel, management, customers, general contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.  Resolve project issues promptly and elevate matters that affect safety, cost, schedule, contract obligations, or customer relationships.  Conduct or support project turnover, coordination, progress, and closeout meetings. Budget, Cost Control & Financial Management  Understand the estimate, contract value, scope assumptions, exclusions, allowances, labor budget, and material budget before execution.  Monitor labor performance, committed costs, purchases, subcontract costs, and other project expenses against budget.  Identify cost overruns or margin risk early and develop corrective actions with management.  Provide timely information needed for billing, cost-to-complete reviews, forecasting, and project financial reporting. Change Management & Contract Administration  Identify work outside the contracted scope before or as it occurs whenever practical.  Document change conditions, extra work, delays, impacts, and customer direction.  Prepare or coordinate pricing support for change orders and track them through approval.  Maintain awareness of notice requirements, schedule obligations, and other key contract requirements. Quality, Safety & Compliance  Ensure assigned projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, project requirements, and EEC procedures.  Coordinate with EEC safety personnel and field leadership to support safe work planning and compliance with jobsite requirements.  Participate in quality reviews, inspections, testing, punch-list correction, and closeout verification.  Immediately address or escalate conditions that create unacceptable safety, quality, or compliance exposure. Procurement & Material Management  Develop and maintain material and equipment procurement needs based on the project schedule.  Coordinate submittals, long-lead items, purchase requirements, delivery dates, storage, and material availability.  Work with approved vendors and suppliers to maintain schedule and cost control.  Identify shortages, substitutions, lead-time concerns, or procurement risks before they affect field production. Technical Oversight & Problem Solving  Read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, schedules, and project documentation.  Support field personnel in resolving constructability questions and technical issues while respecting the authority of the engineer, inspector, customer, and other responsible parties.  Coordinate RFIs, clarifications, field questions, and documentation when design or scope conflicts arise.  Use field experience and project knowledge to make practical decisions without bypassing required approvals. Documentation & Reporting  Maintain accurate and current project records, including schedules, meeting notes, RFIs, submittals, purchase information, change documentation, correspondence, photos, and closeout records.  Keep assigned project-management systems current so management can determine actual project status without relying on verbal updates alone.  Provide concise status reports covering schedule, manpower, materials, financial exposure, changes, risks, and upcoming decisions.  Complete closeout documentation and participate in post-project lessons-learned reviews. Customer & Stakeholder Management  Maintain professional relationships with customers and project partners.  Communicate commitments accurately and avoid making unauthorized promises involving scope, cost, schedule, or contract terms.  Address customer concerns promptly and keep EEC management informed of significant issues.  Represent EEC professionally in meetings, written communication, and jobsite interactions.
