Johnson Controls seeks a Controls Project Manager to lead complex building automation and controls projects from kickoff through closeout. In this role, you will manage scope, schedules, budgets, and risk while coordinating engineering, installation, and commissioning teams to deliver safe, high-quality smart building solutions. You will interface directly with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, drive change management, and report financial and project status, all within an innovative, sustainability-focused culture. Responsibilities Plan and manage building controls projects from initiation through closeout, meeting scope, schedule, and budget targets. Coordinate engineering, installation, programming, and commissioning activities for BAS and HVAC control systems. Monitor project financials, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls to achieve margin and revenue goals. Lead customer communication, status updates, and issue resolution to maintain high satisfaction. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards on all job sites. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources, defining roles, priorities, and deliverables. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, risk registers, and action plans. Prepare technical and project documentation, including submittals, O&M manuals, and closeout packages. Support sales and estimating with project scoping, labor and materials estimates, and technical input. Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes and tools within a collaborative team environment.
