This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on civil construction experience who's ready to take on greater project responsibility and develop toward a project management role. Work closely with experienced leaders and gain exposure to a wide variety of impactful projects. Assistant Project Manager Benefits & Compensation Salary of $80,000-$90,000 , based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to collaborate on large-scale, meaningful infrastructure and site development projects Direct mentorship from experienced project managers and field leaders Supportive, stable environment with professional development and long-term growth potential Assistant Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, coordination, or assistant project management within heavy civil, excavation, utilities, site development, or related construction Working knowledge of civil construction plans, specifications, and documentation Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related project management software; Procore experience is a plus Effective written and verbal communication skills Comfortable collaborating with both office and field teams Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites as needed Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Assistant Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills Experience specifically in road construction, utility installation, or sitework for commercial, municipal, or residential projects Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms Assistant Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities Support project managers in planning and executing heavy civil and site development projects Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements to ensure compliance Prepare and track essential project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management tasks Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors, vendors, and field resources Communicate regularly with superintendents, foremen, and stakeholders regarding project status, progress, and challenges Track project milestones, outstanding items, and closeout documentation Help identify and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on schedule and within budget Maintain organized and accurate project records If you're ready to grow your career with a company known for quality, safety, and dependability, this is your chance to make a real impact.
