Position Overview Cirignano Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated Project Manager to manage commercial painting, wallcovering, and industrial painting projects throughout South Jersey and the surrounding market. This is a long-term position for an experienced construction professional who can take ownership of multiple projects and manage them from initial turnover through completion and closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple large projects simultaneously while maintaining control of schedules, budgets, documentation, customer relationships, and overall project performance. Experience with commercial painting, wallcovering, industrial coatings, or a similar commercial finishing trade is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial painting, wallcovering, and industrial coating projects from project turnover through final closeout. Review contracts, scopes of work, proposals, bid estimates, specifications, drawings, and project requirements. Perform detailed project handoff and scope reviews to ensure the project is being managed in accordance with the original estimate and contract. Prepare, track, and manage product data, shop drawings, samples, submittals, and other required project documentation. Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs). Communicate professionally with general contractors, owners, clients, architects, vendors, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal management. Attend project meetings, coordination meetings, jobsite meetings, and internal project reviews. Track project schedules, manpower requirements, progress, production, costs, budgets, and overall project performance. Identify potential scope gaps, changes, delays, conflicts, and additional work. Assist with pricing and documentation of change orders and extra work. Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower, subcontractors, and project requirements with field supervision. Maintain accurate and organized project files, correspondence, documentation, and records. Review drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and potential issues before they impact the work. Monitor projects through completion, punch list, final documentation, and closeout. Manage multiple active projects at various stages simultaneously. Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop solutions to project challenges. Work closely with estimating, operations, field supervision, accounting, and company management throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred. Commercial painting, wallcovering, industrial painting/coatings, or similar finishing-trade experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project management. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, finish schedules, contracts, and scopes of work. Experience reviewing estimates and understanding project budgets and costs. Strong computer and technology skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and related applications. Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred. Experience with PlanSwift or similar takeoff/estimating software preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple large projects and deadlines at the same time. Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
