Full-Time Position Overview:

The Electrical Project Manager will support the Commercial Electrical Department in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for assisting in scheduling, budgeting, procurement, document control, and ensuring that all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards. The PM acts as a key link between the field, vendors, and office staff to help drive successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large scale commercial projects in the range of $500K to $25M such as high rise apartment buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Department in all phases of project planning, scheduling, and execution. Coordinate and communicate with field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure materials and manpower align with project timelines. Monitor project progress, update schedules, and assist with forecasting labor and material needs. Help prepare project budgets, track costs, and review invoices for accuracy. Manage and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, and closeout documents. Support procurement of electrical materials and equipment. Assist with permitting, inspections, and compliance with local codes and regulations. Attend job site meetings and document meeting minutes, action items, and follow-ups. Support the Chief Estimator in identifying potential risks or delays and help develop solutions. Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 15+ years of experience in the construction or electrical industry preferred. Understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry terminology. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and basic scheduling software. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with construction/project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid etc) Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and construction safety regulations. Ability to work collaboratively with field personnel and leadership teams.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an office setting and conduct regular job site visits. May be required to stand, walk, or climb ladders during site inspections.

Pay:

$140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
