Job Description

New Jersey Key Project Requirements :
Bachelor's 3-5 years of experience supporting construction, engineering, industrial, or capital projects. PMP certification required. Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Project Professional. Experience with project cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and project controls. Ability to support multiple active projects and coordinate effectively with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and site personnel.
Job Summary :
We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist to support capital upgrade projects within the power generation industry. This position will be responsible for project cost tracking, schedule management, project reporting, RFI and technical logs, and document control activities to help ensure project information is accurate, current, and effectively communicated to project and plant leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Support Manage project cost tracking, including budget values, commitments, cost reports, forecasts, and status updates. Manage and update project schedules using Microsoft Project Professional, including tracking key milestones, schedule changes, and deliverables. Track and maintain RFI logs, technical logs, action items, and open project issues. Maintain accurate project records, reports, and project controls information. Compile project results and status updates for communication to project and plant leadership. Support document management and document control for drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. Prepare, review, and coordinate bid specifications and related technical documentation. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and site personnel to support project progress. Monitor project documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and project requirements. Provide project support in active industrial and power plant environments and travel as required.

Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience supporting construction-scale, engineering, industrial, utility, or capital projects. Experience with financial cost tracking, project reporting, scheduling, and project controls required. Experience supporting power generation, utility, industrial, construction, or engineering operations preferred. PMP certification required. The hourly pay rate for this position is $60 - $65 per hour.
