Benefits $95,000-$105,000 annual salary Performance-based and project completion bonuses Per diem and travel expense coverage for nationwide assignments 401(k) with employer matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance HSA and life insurance options Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave Safety equipment Ongoing OSHA and technical certifications Requirements 5+ years of commercial or utility-scale solar construction experience preferred Experience as a Solar Foreman, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Construction Manager, or Solar Project Manager strongly preferred Strong understanding of commercial PV electrical and mechanical installation Ability to read construction drawings, electrical one-lines, three-line diagrams, site plans, equipment layouts, structural details, manufacturer manuals, and project specifications Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it applies to solar PV Understanding of AC and DC electrical systems Knowledge of commercial solar inverters, disconnects, switchgear, transformers, racking, and monitoring equipment Experience managing subcontractors and field crews Strong construction sequencing, scheduling, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple trades and activities simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, utilities, and internal management Comfortable using computers, tablets, email, Microsoft Office, PDF drawings, and construction/project-management software Ability to maintain organized project documentation Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

training First Aid/CPR certification NABCEP certification or solar-specific training Electrical background or electrical license Commercial rooftop and ground-mount solar experience SolarEdge, CPS, APS, or similar inverter experience IronRidge, EcoFoot, Unirac, or similar racking experience Utility interconnection and commissioning experience Experience with forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, lifts, and other construction equipment What You'll Do Serve as the primary on-site leader for commercial and utility-scale solar projects Manage daily construction activities from mobilization through completion and closeout Direct subcontractors, electricians, equipment operators, testing contractors, and other trades Develop daily and weekly work plans and track manpower, production, equipment, deliveries, and progress Identify schedule risks and field issues and develop corrective actions Coordinate with project management, engineering, customers, utilities, AHJs, and other stakeholders Lead subcontractor coordination and planning meetings Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower counts, and construction documentation Review subcontractor work and identify out-of-scope work or potential change-order conditions Supervise commercial rooftop, carport, and ground-mount PV installations Oversee PV modules, racking, DC wiring, combiner boxes, inverters, AC collection systems, switchgear, transformers, conduit, grounding, equipment pads, communications, monitoring, and rapid shutdown systems Verify installations meet approved drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes Perform or oversee basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Coordinate startup, testing, commissioning, utility interconnection, and PTO activities Maintain project punch lists and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly Verify equipment mounting, torque, grounding, wire management, labeling, conduit installation, weatherproofing, and sealing Document concealed work and maintain construction quality records
Safety & Quality:
Maintain site safety requirements and conduct daily pre-task planning/JSA meetings Verify subcontractor compliance with approved safety procedures Identify unsafe conditions and stop work when necessary Understand electrical hazards associated with energized PV systems Coordinate LOTO procedures when required Enforce fall protection, excavation, equipment, electrical safety, and PPE requirements Inspect work continuously and verify construction against drawings, specifications, NEC requirements, and approved submittals Document and report incidents, near misses, property damage, and safety concerns Leadership Expectations Lead crews and subcontractors professionally and hold them accountable for schedule, quality, safety, and workmanship Anticipate problems and develop solutions before they affect the project Keep management informed of project status, risks, delays, and major decisions Protect completed work and property Maintain an organized and professional jobsite Recognize when field changes require engineering approval Represent the organization professionally with customers and project stakeholders Work independently with limited day-to-day supervision Travel & Physical Requirements Approximately 50-75% nationwide travel depending on project workload Multiple consecutive weeks away from home may be required Overnight stays and extended project assignments are expected Some weekend travel may be required Must be comfortable traveling by vehicle and commercial airline Must remain flexible regarding project locations and changing construction schedules Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to walk active construction sites and uneven terrain for extended periods Ability to climb ladders and access commercial rooftops Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials and equipment Ability to work around heavy equipment and active electrical construction Ability to perform work at heights using required fall-protection equipment If your experience aligns with this opportunity and you are comfortable with extensive nationwide travel, submit your application for consideration.
