Position Overview:
As a Survey Project Manager based out of our Rutherford, NJ office, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing survey projects to meet client requirements and deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints. Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and communicate these to the surveying team. Lead and coordinate survey teams, including Survey Party Chiefs, CAD Technicians, and Technicians, to achieve project goals. Monitor and ensure the quality and accuracy of survey data collected in the field. Review and approve survey deliverables, including plats, maps, and drawings. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and construction, to ensure seamless project integration. Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to surveying team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field; professional surveying license (PLS) is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying Strong understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and techniques. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Strong client relationship management skills.
