Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sitework Assistant Manager to support daily field operations and assist in managing multiple crews on active construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. Key Responsibilities Assist in overseeing all sitework operations, including scheduling, coordination, and execution Manage and supervise multiple field crews to ensure productivity and quality standards are met Interpret project plans, specifications, and grading details Coordinate earthwork activities such as excavation, grading, and site preparation Oversee installation of drainage systems, sewer, water, and underground piping Work with GPS machine control systems and ensure accuracy in layout and grading Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating materials and production rates Utilize CAD software to review plans, assist with layouts, and support field operations Use computers and construction software for reporting, tracking progress, and communication Monitor job progress and proactively address issues or delays Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and crew members Make real-time field decisions to keep projects on schedule and within budget Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in sitework or heavy civil construction Strong knowledge of: Earthwork and grading Drainage systems Sewer and water installation Underground piping Experience with GPS machine control and layout systems Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating Strong computer skills (Excel, project tracking software, etc.) Proven ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize tasks Strong leadership and decision-making skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent communication and organizational skills Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Experience with project scheduling software OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience working on large-scale commercial or civil projects Compensation & Benefits - $30.00 - $40.00 Hourly Based on Experience Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for advancement
