Job Description
Company Overview We are an established privately held consumer product company with an entrepreneurial spirit that has been expanding as of recent years and are looking to expand our team. We are seeking a strategic, highly organized Project Manager to oversee our product management and creative workflows. The PM will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of key project management tools and our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, while overseeing the execution of new product development, creative, marketing, and project management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing timelines and workflows, and in working with internal teams and external vendors to deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage day-to-day project management efforts for new product development, creative, marketing, and operational initiatives across the organization. Oversee and optimize the organization's project management platform, ensuring teams adhere to established processes, timelines, and deliverables. Develop, implement, and manage project workflows from concept through creation, review, approval, and release, continuously improving processes to increase efficiency and support cross-functional collaboration. Create and maintain project timelines, monitor project progress, identify risks and roadblocks, and provide regular status updates and mitigation plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Manage relationships with external vendors, factories, and partners, ensuring expectations, timelines, and deliverables are clearly communicated and achieved. Coordinate communication between U.S. and China teams to ensure timely resolution of tooling, scheduling, mockups, specifications and purchasing. Serve as the primary administrator for the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring assets are organized, accessible, and properly maintained. Coordinate the release of creative and marketing assets across departments, ensuring alignment on schedules, dependencies, and deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, fostering collaboration and alignment among internal stakeholders. Identify potential project and product development risks, recommend solutions, and proactively monitor risks throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to maintain project alignment and transparency. Lead project retrospectives and performance evaluations, analyze project metrics and lessons learned, and translate insights into actionable process improvements that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Ability to analyze workflows and implement process improvements. Proficiency in Asana, Monday.com, Bynder, and/or other project management or DAM software. Experience in vendor management and working with third-party vendors.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Minimum of 3-4 years of project management experience, preferably in product development, creative, marketing, or consumer products environments. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management certification highly preferred. Proven experience administering project management platforms such as such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, preferably Bynder. Demonstrated success managing workflows for new product development, creative, marketing, and operational projects, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong understanding of product development, creative, and marketing processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively with creative, marketing, sales, and product development teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Knowledge of Adobe CC a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and international partners.
