Job Description
Project Manager - K-12 Commercial Construction Las Vegas, NV | $130,000-$150,000 | Direct Hire Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established commercial general contractor in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position will support the construction of a $120M ground-up middle school project currently underway with approximately 24 months remaining on the project schedule. The Project Manager will work alongside the Senior Project Manager and oversee an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with strong ground-up experience who wants to join a contractor with an active K-12 portfolio and a significant pipeline of future school construction projects.
Compensation Salary:
$130,000-$150,000, depending on experience Vehicle allowance: $120/week Gas card Company credit card Relocation assistance averaging $10,000-$20,000, depending on distance Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day construction activities for a large-scale ground-up commercial project Partner closely with the Senior Project Manager to maintain project schedule, budget, quality, and overall execution Lead and develop project team members, including the APM, Project Engineer, and Project Administrator Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, procurement, and project documentation Monitor project costs, forecasts, schedules, and potential risks Lead subcontractor coordination and ensure commitments and deadlines are met Participate in owner and project meetings and communicate project status effectively Identify potential schedule, cost, or constructability issues before they impact the project Support project closeout and turnover Maintain company standards for safety, quality, professionalism, and client service Required Experience 5+ years of construction experience with a commercial general contractor Strong ground-up commercial construction experience Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and project teams Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work full-time in Las Vegas or relocate for a long-term opportunity Preferred Experience K-12 construction experience is highly preferred. Ideal candidates will have completed 3-5+ ground-up school projects. Preferred project experience, in order of priority: High schools Middle schools Elementary schools University/education projects CCSD experience is preferred but not required. Candidates without K-12 experience may also be considered if they bring exceptionally strong ground-up commercial construction experience on comparable large-scale projects. Long-Term Opportunity This is not simply a hire for one project. The contractor has an established and growing K-12 portfolio with multiple projects currently underway, including two ground-up projects, a teardown/rebuild, and a modernization. The company is also pursuing additional major K-12 work, including a potential $182M high school rebuild anticipated to begin in 2027 and another elementary school rebuild expected to bid in Q3 2027.
