FACILITATE

the delivery, fabrication, and erection of multiple steel projects in accordance with the design documents, the approved shop drawings, and existing jobsite conditions; all within the company's ability to perform and within the established budget requirements. ADMINISTRATION, for all projects under your control

Contract Review:

Fully understand and present a new contract to the President/Vice President. Make necessary contract changes, negotiate and conclude with the customer.

Insurance Certificates:

Fully understand and present the insurance requirements to Accounting. Make necessary contract changes, negotiate and conclude with the customer.

Change Orders:

Identify, price and draft Change Order proposals for all potential change orders that may affect the contract price. Be responsible to quantify any change in project costs including but not limited to material, coatings, detailing, trucking, shop labor, field labor and or completion schedule. Make necessary contract changes, negotiate and conclude with the customer. Maintain established budgets for labor, materials, and overhead. Submit AIA's Applications for payments. Be responsible for all necessary back-up information such as Certified Payroll Reports, Letters of Good Standing with Unions, etc. Follow up with the customer on the approval of payment applications.

SUBMITTALS

for Multiple Projects Perform a complete "Spec Review" and summarize for the President/VP. Including but not limited to all specs related to submittals, materials and or finishes. Communicate these requirements to the details prior to awarding the detailing contract or PO. Manage Detailers to create and submit all Shop Drawings. Seek out conformance to the contract documents and design intent. Check for completeness, submit for approval, and receive approval. Ensure the Engineer's comments on our shop drawings have been incorporated into the final fabrication and installations. Draft and submit all RFI's. Develop, submit, and comply with Site Specific Safety Plans, if required. Field measure existing conditions at jobsites as needed to field verify or layout work needed to be performed in the field. Prepare hand sketches as required to communicate your findings with others. Work with Engineer and Architect towards resolving discrepancies on the design drawings as they relate to actual field conditions. Propose design changes to the GC that ensure productive fabrications and installations. Perform a complete Review of all related Specifications. Remain in constant, daily, communication with the detailer.

PURCHASE

ORDERS, for Multiple Projects Prepare Purchase Orders for material, hardware, and special items as needed to complete the order. Issue POs to pre-approved Vendors, maintain delivery slips of products received. Track whereabouts of products purchased, review Vendor Bills, verify, and submit to accounting for payment.

SHOP ORDERS/PURCHASE

ORDERS, for Multiple Projects Prepare multiple Shop Orders, in a timely manner, so that the Fabrication Shop can execute the order, accompanied by Material Cutting Lists for Main Members and Accessories. Ensure and maintain a system that ensures that the necessary material, equipment, and supplies are readily available to the Shop Men without any interruption. Kick-Off Shop Orders in Bridgeport with Foreman and Operations Manager Track the progress of Shop Orders regarding your project.

CUSTOMER

RELATIONS/COORDINATION, for Multiple Projects Communicate with customers on potential completion dates, send pictures of the progress of fabrication, and all the various tasks by collaborating with the Operations Manager and the Project Executive. Schedule deliveries efficiently. Understand the tasks and task dependencies to create a comfortable schedule that conforms to the contract, contract drawings, and specifications. Build relationships and trust with customers, architects, and Engineers. Attend all site coordination meetings with Customer and Owner. Seek to coordinate our work with other trades through constant communication with the General Contractor.

MANAGE STEEL ERECTION/INSTALLATION

for Multiple Projects Ensure the Field Operations Manager has maintained Daily Logs of work completed, equipment used, and problems encountered, as well as all Safety Talk logs, and Site Safety meetings. Schedule ironworkers in the field, and coordinate schedules with available manpower, shop fabrication progress, and establish realistic delivery dates of material and equipment to complete the work in the most efficient manner. Facilitate crane permits and street closures as it relates to your projects. Plan out all work to be completed efficiently, safely, and within budget constraints. Complete accident reports, follow up with customers' safety requirements. Quality Control - Ensure high-quality work, accuracy, pass inspections, and resolve conflicts. Resolve punch list items with GC and Inspectors.

SELLING NEW WORK

Seek out new opportunities for new work, estimate new work that may stem from the relationship with your customers. Pursue all changes to your projects with prompt cost and schedule impacts.

ACCOUNTABILITY

As Project Manager of several projects, you are expected to contribute towards maintaining the profitability targets established at the time of Award.

Gross Profit Staff Wages as a percentage of Costs Establish strong trusting relationships with your customers that ensure that they will be repeat customers. Relationship with the Shop. Maintain clear, open, and accurate communication with the Shop Manager during fabrication.
