We specialize in a wide range of exterior remodeling services, including: Windows & Doors Roofing Siding Masonry & Pavers Gutters Decking Railings Fencing Porticos Awnings Other exterior home improvement projects As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Exterior Remodeling Project Coordinator to join our operations team in Baldwin, NY. Position Overview The Exterior Remodeling Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating residential home improvement projects from the time they are sold through installation and completion. This position will primarily oversee roofing, siding, masonry, gutters, decking, and other exterior remodeling projects . You will serve as a central point of communication between our customers, sales representatives, installers and subcontractors, supply houses, manufacturers, service department, management, and other project coordinators . For combination projects that include windows or doors, you will work alongside our Window & Door Project Coordinators to ensure every phase of the customer's project is properly coordinated. The goal of this position is to make sure everyone involved has the correct information, materials, scheduling, and communication necessary for the installation to go smoothly and for the customer to have an excellent experience. This is not simply an administrative or scheduling position. Prior residential construction, installation, or home remodeling knowledge is required. Project Coordination Responsibilities Coordinate multiple residential exterior remodeling projects at the same time Review contracts, project scopes, measurements, installation notes, material requirements, and other job information Maintain consistent communication with customers, sales representatives, installers, subcontractors, supply houses, manufacturers, and internal departments Coordinate projects from pre-installation through completion Make sure all necessary materials are ordered and available before installation Coordinate material orders, deliveries, pickups, shortages, and additional material needs with supply houses Communicate with manufacturers regarding products, specifications, availability, and project requirements Coordinate installation schedules with customers and installers Make sure installers have accurate project information before arriving at the job Monitor active projects and communicate with installers regarding progress and job-site conditions Help resolve unexpected installation or material issues Coordinate additional materials when required Communicate project changes, delays, or additional work to the appropriate parties Maintain accurate project notes and records in company systems Keep management informed of significant project issues Follow projects through completion and help ensure customers are satisfied with the finished work Customer Communication Communication is one of the most important responsibilities of this position.
The Project Coordinator will:
Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners regarding their project Keep customers informed about scheduling, materials, installation dates, delays, and project progress Answer project-related questions professionally and accurately Coordinate customer availability with installation crews Proactively communicate changes or delays Address concerns before they become larger customer-service issues Coordinate with other departments when additional assistance is needed Follow up on projects and help ensure customers are satisfied with their completed installation We want our customers to always understand what is happening with their project and what the next step will be. Installer & Subcontractor Coordination You will work directly with our installation crews and subcontractors throughout the week.
Responsibilities include:
Communicate project scopes and installation requirements Confirm installers understand project details before installation Answer job-related questions Help troubleshoot field conditions and installation issues Coordinate additional materials when necessary Communicate changes between the installer, customer, and office Obtain pricing from installers for additional work, repairs, and service items Relay important field information to management and other departments Maintain strong professional relationships with our installation teams Supply House & Manufacturer Coordination The Project Coordinator will communicate regularly with our suppliers and manufacturers to help keep projects moving efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate project material orders Confirm material availability Track outstanding and backordered materials Coordinate deliveries and pickups Address missing, damaged, or incorrect materials Communicate product questions with manufacturers Obtain product specifications when necessary Coordinate warranty materials Work with installers to determine additional material requirements Help prevent installation delays caused by material issues Combination Projects Many Unified customers complete multiple exterior projects at the same time. A homeowner may, for example, replace their roofing, siding, gutters, windows, and doors as part of one larger remodeling project. When a project includes windows or doors, you will work closely with our Window & Door Project Coordinators to: Determine the proper order of installation Coordinate installation schedules Prevent conflicts between different trades Coordinate materials Share important project information Maintain consistent communication with the customer Ensure each department understands its responsibilities Provide the homeowner with one coordinated remodeling experience The ability to work well with others and communicate between departments is essential for this position. Service & Warranty Coordination The Project Coordinator will also assist with service and warranty work related to the projects they oversee.
Responsibilities include:
Review service and warranty issues Communicate with installers regarding customer concerns Coordinate inspections when necessary Determine what materials or labor may be required Obtain repair or service pricing from installers Obtain material pricing when necessary Relay installer pricing and project information to our Service Department Coordinate warranty materials with manufacturers and supply houses Assist with ordering materials needed for service work Coordinate installers for approved repairs Provide our Service Department with the information they need to maintain communication with the customer Help ensure service and warranty issues are properly resolved Qualifications Prior construction, installation, or residential remodeling knowledge is required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous residential construction, installation, remodeling, or construction project coordination experience Working knowledge of exterior home improvement and residential construction Understanding of installation processes and common job-site conditions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer-service skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to work effectively with customers, installers, subcontractors, sales representatives, suppliers, manufacturers, and coworkers Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment Comfortable making and receiving phone calls throughout the day Professional email communication skills Computer proficiency and ability to learn company software Valid driver's license Dependable and professional attitude Preferred Industry Experience Experience with any of the following is highly desirable: Roofing Siding Masonry Gutters Decking Railings Fencing Exterior carpentry Windows & doors Residential remodeling Construction estimating Construction project management Material ordering Building supply houses Manufacturer ordering Installation management Subcontractor management Service and warranty coordination Previous hands-on installation experience is a major plus. Candidates who have previously worked as a Construction Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Installation Manager, Production Coordinator, Construction Coordinator, Field Supervisor, Lead Installer, or experienced Exterior Remodeling Installer are encouraged to apply.
