What you'll do The Research Coordinator is primarily responsible for the successful data collection/intervention implementation of the assigned study. The Research Coordinator is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of running the assigned study. This involves intimate knowledge of all study grant narratives and budgets, as well as capability for interfacing with the community. Collaborates with other researchers on a local and national level as required. Research may include field studies, data collection, and surveillance. The Study Coordinator must be able to set up and supervise data collection/intervention implementation. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of Research Assistants assigned to the study and works closely with the study Principal Investigator and departmental leadership to ensure the successful implementation of all aspects of the study. Assures accurate data collection/intervention implementation, data entry and data management for multiple studies. All data for designated studies will have been collected according to protocol as demonstrated by data audit. All data will have arrived and have been entered on a timely basis as demonstrated by review of study timeline. All project activities will be prioritized, and project tasks will be given to research assistants or other project staff as available and appropriate. Activities will be coordinated such that workloads are reasonable, and staff needs are planned for. Collaborates with Data Manager and Statistician to coordinate file creation, data maintenance, and data analysis as needed. Coordinator can identify where housekeeping file, data hardcopies, study protocol book and other study files are kept, and ensure that they are current. Coordinator will know where IRB consent forms and correspondence is located and ensures that they are current. Data collection protocols for assigned studies are documented in print and data collection forms are easy to use. Coordinator meets with Statistics and Computing Center staff as necessary. Coordinator actively monitors progress of project and keeps study PI and staff appraised as to progress, problems, anticipated busy times. Coordinator will have presented updated study timeline at monthly research meetings. All logistical problems with data collection/intervention implementation will have been first identified by the Study Coordinator, then shared with study leadership. Responsibilities for dissemination. Will have performed text editing and formatting for relevant journal submissions accurately and in a timely manner. Performs literature review by assigned deadline when asked. Reviews and provides feedback for colleagues' work in a timely fashion when asked. Coordinator presents the study at regional, national and international conferences where appropriate. Coordinator keeps abreast of appropriate research developments, and other agricultural health and safety issues. Coordinator subscribes to agricultural health and safety research e-groups as appropriate. Seeks collaboration with other researchers in the field as evidenced by collaboration notes. Coordinator communicates regularly with key stakeholders including collaborating agencies, private industry groups, farm advocacy groups, government agencies and agricultural health and safety researchers. Facilitates collaborations between key stakeholders to ensure study outcomes are met. Leads effective focus groups/market testing for targeted organizations Works with study team, contract staff and organizations to improve recruitment materials, improve study design and ensure the rigorous collection of study data. Facilitates effective communication with collaborating parties to ensure sustainable outcomes that meet the needs of all parties involved. Provide study feedback on a regular basis. Coordinator will have produced and disseminated at least one study update for each project each year. Coordinator will have present preliminary findings at least once per year. Coordinator will meet with Senior Coordinator on a monthly basis and PI as needed to communicate study progress and review study timeline and planning. Coordinator will monitor study resources and provide feedback to Manager on a regular basis. Intervention and Evaluation. Works closely with design team to implement modifications to planned interventions. Ensure adequate evaluations of interventions in real world field applications. Works closely with key stakeholders to ensure that resources are allocated optimally in order to adequately carry out program goals in the necessary time frame. Pursue appropriate training dependent on the focus of intervention chosen by stakeholders. What we need from you
