Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior AV Project Manager to join our Project Operations team in Hicksville, NY. This role is responsible for managing complex commercial AV integration projects from kickoff through installation, commissioning, client acceptance, and final closeout. The Senior AV Project Manager will take ownership of project schedules, budgets, scope, client relationships, technical coordination, field execution, and overall project performance. This role works closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, engineering, programming, field teams, and company leadership. This is a senior-level position requiring strong AV technical knowledge, project leadership, financial awareness, and independent decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead complex commercial AV integration projects from kickoff through final closeout Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, resources, equipment, and critical-path activities Coordinate engineering, programming, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and field teams Monitor project budgets, labor, material costs, subcontractor expenses, forecasts, and change orders Serve as the primary client contact and manage client and stakeholder relationships Identify and resolve scheduling, technical, financial, logistical, and scope issues proactively Conduct job site visits and provide coordination and direction to technicians, subcontractors, and field resources Review AV drawings, system documentation, equipment specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements Provide technical oversight during installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning Ensure projects meet quality, safety, schedule, budget, and client expectations Support project closeout, punch-list completion, system acceptance, and required documentation Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other team members Technical & Project Experience Candidates should have strong experience with: Commercial AV integration and project delivery AV installation, integration, testing, and commissioning Project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and job costing Change orders and scope management Client and stakeholder management Vendor and subcontractor coordination AV drawings, schematics, scopes of work, and technical documentation Commercial AV systems and integration practices Familiarity with Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar systems is preferred. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in commercial AV integration 4+ years of project management or comparable project leadership experience Demonstrated experience independently managing complex commercial AV integration projects from kickoff through closeout Proven experience managing project budgets, labor, schedules, subcontractors, change orders, and client relationships Strong technical understanding of commercial AV systems and integration practices Ability to interpret CAD drawings, schematics, scopes of work, and specifications Strong client-facing communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing deadlines Proficiency with project tracking/collaboration software such as Smartsheet, Procore, or similar OSHA 30 certification Valid driver's license Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as required Preferred Associate or bachelor's degree in AV Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar experience AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, PMP, or comparable certification What We Are Looking For We are looking for an experienced project leader who takes ownership, communicates proactively, and can independently manage complex AV projects while balancing scope, schedule, budget, technical requirements, quality, and client expectations. The ideal candidate is technically knowledgeable, organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working with both clients and field teams.
