Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the $19.5 Billion Redevelopment Program at JFK Airport in Jamaica, NY. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for providing support to the Project Managers and Superintendents and responsibilities include but aren't limited to: performing field measurements, communicating results and quantities to the project team, and reinforcing communications of project milestones and schedules to foremen and other project participants. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist in creating and modifying project schedules, providing additional insights on weekly guidance and rationale for contingencies. Join on-site reviews with General Contractors to better understand scope and required coordination for a job. Perform field measurements, communicating results and quantities to the project team. Reinforce communications of project milestones and schedules to foremen and other project participants. Coordinate with project management to ensure timely completion of change orders. Aid in recognizing and resolving on-site challenges and issues. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge of construction industry including equipment, labor, means and methods. 3-6 years of building construction experience working on complex projects. Experience with Procore, CMiC, MS Office Suites a plus.
