Project Coordinator - Construction /
Building Systems Location:
Mineola, NY Position Type:
Direct Hire, Full-Time Pay Rate:
$30.00 - $35.00 / hour ($62,000 - $73,000 / year) Job Overview A premier specialty contractor and building equipment distributor in Mineola, NY , is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join their growing operations team. In this direct-hire role, you will work closely with Project Managers, field technicians, general contractors, and clients to ensure residential and commercial installation projects are executed seamlessly from contract award through final inspection.
Key Responsibilities Project Tracking & Logistics:
Coordinate project schedules, equipment deliveries, permits, and subcontractor/technician dispatch.
Contract & Order Administration:
Process purchase orders, submittals, vendor contracts, and change orders.
Client & Contractor Communication:
Serve as a central point of contact for general contractors, architects, property managers, and field crews.
Billing & Documentation:
Review vendor invoices, prepare client billing applications, and track job costs using project management software.
Permitting & Compliance:
Submit required municipal permit applications, track regulatory approvals, and coordinate municipal/state inspection schedules.
Key Requirements Experience:
2-5+ years of Project Coordination or Construction Administration experience in commercial/residential building trades, general contracting, or specialty trades.
Software Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and construction/field service management software.
Attributes:
Exceptional organizational skills, strong multi-tasking abilities under tight deadlines, and clear verbal/written communication.
Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus. Benefits & Perks Direct-hire placement with long-term stability and growth.
