Job Description

Strong Island Electric is seeking an organized and motivated Electrical Plan Clerk / Project Coordinator to join our growing electrical contracting company. This position is ideal for someone with construction or electrical industry experience who wants to continue developing their career on the project management side of the business. The primary role will be supporting our Project Managers and field operations by managing drawings, project documentation, material information, and day-to-day project coordination. For the right person, this position is intended to develop into an Assistant Project Manager role with increasing responsibility. Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Download, print, distribute, and maintain current drawing sets
  • Track drawing revisions, addenda, bulletins, and design changes
  • Review electrical drawings and specifications for project requirements
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
  • Assist with electrical material takeoffs and quantity counts
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence
  • Assist with material purchasing and preparing material orders
  • Coordinate with vendors and supply houses regarding pricing, availability, and deliveries
  • Maintain project files and documentation
  • Communicate with field supervisors and electricians regarding drawings, materials, and project information
  • Assist with scheduling deliveries, inspections, and project activities
  • Track open project items and follow up to ensure they are completed
  • Assist with project closeout documentation
  • Provide general project management support as needed Qualifications
  • Previous experience in electrical contracting, construction, engineering, or a related industry preferred
  • Electrical industry experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings; electrical plan-reading experience is preferred
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with PDF drawings and electronic project documents
  • Bluebeam experience is a plus
  • Experience with Procore or other construction management software is a plus
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple active projects
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with electricians, foremen, vendors, general contractors, and customers
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks Opportunity for Advancement We are looking for someone who wants more than an administrative position. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
