Responsibilities for Construction Project Manager include but are not limited to:
  • Lead, plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities to achieve project objectives within established schedules and budget constraints.
  • Manage multiple capital improvement, facility upgrade, and infrastructure projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, bills of materials, scopes of work, and procurement plans.
  • Oversee project execution from design through construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Coordinate activities among clients, contractors, vendors, plant management, operations personnel, and corporate departments including Procurement, Legal, and Human Resources.
  • Manage field resources and construction personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and professional project execution.
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings, construction submittals, and technical documentation.
  • Process and manage change orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), and contract modifications.
  • Monitor construction progress, track schedules, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and capital expenditures.
  • Perform cost estimating, forecasting, tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, prepare bid comparisons, and support supplier selection processes.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
  • Plant & Operations Coordination
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and plant operations, maintenance, and management staff.
  • Coordinate project activities to minimize operational disruptions and maintain facility reliability.
  • Support facility and asset improvement initiatives in collaboration with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.
  • Ensure successful integration of new systems and infrastructure into existing plant operations.
  • Maintain and promote safe working conditions across all project sites.
  • Identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Enforce compliance with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and safety reviews throughout project execution.
  • Prepare project status reports, schedules, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Track and process invoices and project financials.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership, plant management, and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication across multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Candidates for Construction Project Manager must meet the following requirements to be considered:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience managing construction projects and/or energy asset operations.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects.
  • Experience supporting facility and infrastructure improvement projects in collaboration with Operations & Maintenance teams.
  • Experience working on Design-Build projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  • Proven success in recruiting, developing, and managing technical staff, administrative personnel, and contractors. What's in this Construction Project Manager position for you?

    Pay Details:
