This role starts with a one-year training period as a Junior/Assistant Project Manager , working alongside our experienced team to learn our systems, processes, and clients before transitioning into the full Project Manager role. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid project management fundamentals who wants to grow into a leadership position within a specialized construction niche. What You'll Do During Training (Year 1 - Junior/Assistant PM): Support project scheduling, documentation, and site coordination Assist with client communication, vendor coordination, and material tracking Learn our estimating, permitting, and installation workflows Shadow senior PMs on active job sites and client meetings Help track budgets, timelines, and change orders After Transition (Project Manager): Own the full project lifecycle from award through closeout for awning and specialty construction projects Manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships independently Coordinate with design, fabrication, and field crews to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery Identify and resolve project risks before they impact timelines Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in project management within specialized construction (awnings, canopies, signage, metal fabrication, or similar niche construction preferred) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Clear, professional communication skills for client- and vendor-facing work Comfort with construction scheduling, budgeting, and documentation CAD experience is a plus (not required, but a differentiator) Willingness to spend Year 1 in a training/assistant capacity before stepping into full PM responsibilities Why Join Us Clear path to a Project Manager title with structured, hands-on training Work on unique, highly visible projects in a specialized construction niche
