Job Description

The Role Amphenol Commercial Air is seeking a Project Manager to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY. The Project Manager is responsible for managing key projects including but not limited to new products, cost reductions and new development work to support future growth. This individual will closely monitor and help coordinate the critical activities of Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure on time project completions and customer satisfaction for new designs The key responsibilities of this Project Manager include, but are not limited to: Interface with Product Managers and Application Engineers to ensure the right lead times are quoted for new products. Establish project plans for all new orders for new products with critical milestones identified. Facilitate and participate in design reviews and first builds in manufacturing. Track each milestone for all projects daily, reporting any slips in the schedules to management. Develop recovery plans with all groups when milestones are missed. Track and report progress on component and assembly work orders that support the projects. Trend performance to final delivery commitment dates. Perform root cause analysis on orders that miss commitment dates and identify corrective actions to improve performance over time. Point of Contact for questions concerning orders from both sales and external customers. Collaborate with Amphenol manufacturing locations to meet customer expectations for deliverables and cost. Amphenol Commercial Air:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 2 years' experience in Operations, Planning, or Project Management) Project management experience across multi-disciplinary teams preferred Project Management Certification preferred (not required) Proficiency in AS400, Looking Glass, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment The role requires a lot of sitting, typing, and other computer work in combination with the periodic need to track, expedite, and move products through the required production operations. Some travel required, approximately 25%.
