Job Description
About Us We are a fast-growing canopy manufacturing company specializing in custom commercial awnings and canopies. As a subcontractor to general contractors, we deliver high-quality fabrication and installation services across a variety of commercial projects. We're expanding and looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join our team and grow with us. Position Summary The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of commercial canopy projects. This includes coordination between departments, managing schedules and budgets, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and internal teams. This is a fully on-site role requiring job site visits and cross-functional coordination. Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project execution from contract award through closeout
- Manage and oversee project schedules, budgets, documentation, and communication
- Conduct site visits to verify measurements and conditions, and attend contractor meetings
- Coordinate with internal departments including engineering, manufacturing, scheduling, and installation teams
- Supervise and review the work of internal estimators
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, submittal requirements, and quality control procedures
- Oversee subcontract documentation including AIA billing, safety plans, and submittals
- Track job progress, update stakeholders, and capture project photos for internal records
- Maintain excellent relationships with general contractors and subcontractors
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial construction projects
- OSHA certification required
- Proficient with Excel, and Google Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, especially across departments and with clients
- Familiarity with AIA billing, submittals, safety plans, and commercial subcontractor processes
- Experience in or knowledge of architectural canopy or metal fabrication is a plus
- Certificate in commercial safety standards is a plus
