Role Description The Steel Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Albertson, NY (near Mineola, NY). This role oversees steel fabrication and erection projects from initiation through completion, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities with internal teams, vendors, and clients. The Steel Project Manager monitors project progress, manages logistics and deliveries, and ensures materials and resources are available to meet construction timelines. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating inspections and quality checks, tracking costs, managing change orders, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role also involves identifying and resolving issues in the field, supporting safety and compliance standards, and ensuring each project is delivered in alignment with contract requirements and company quality expectations. Qualifications 5 Years experience with a Structural Steel contractor Currently residing within a reasonable commute time to Albertson, NY Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination. Expeditor and Expediting experience to manage material orders, approvals, and timely delivery of steel components. Inspection and quality control capabilities to review fabrication and erection work against drawings, codes, and standards. Logistics Management skills to coordinate transportation, site deliveries, and sequencing of steel installation. Experience in structural steel or construction industry, with familiarity in shop drawings, erection plans, and field operations. Solid English language communication and interpersonal skills to work with project teams, clients, and vendors in a collaborative, inclusive manner. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Vald US Driver's License
