Job Description

A full-service construction firm specializing in commercial and institutional construction throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding region is seeking an Assistant Carpentry Project Manager to assist with project coordination, field operations, scheduling, procurement, and day-to-day project administration. Assistant Carpentry Project Manager Support Project Managers and field supervision with day-to-day project coordination Coordinate drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation Review plans, details, shop drawings, and specifications for field coordination Prepare material takeoffs and coordinate procurement, deliveries, and distribution Assist with manpower planning, scheduling, and look-ahead planning Track labor, production, material usage, and project progress Coordinate with foremen, carpenters, vendors, subcontractors, and office staff Prepare daily reports, field documentation, timekeeping, and payroll records Document field conditions, additional work, and change-order requirements Monitor quality, punch-list items, and completion of work Maintain organized project records, drawings, photos, correspondence, and other documentation Support site safety requirements and toolbox talks Use Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and Smartsheet Carpentry Experience Metal stud framing and drywall Acoustical ceilings Doors, frames, and hardware Rough and finish carpentry Architectural millwork Blocking and backing Interior finishes Field layout and installation coordination Benefits 100% employer-paid medical insurance 7% employer pension contribution Dental and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Life insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage Professional growth and advancement opportunities The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
