Job Description

Ronyak Paving is a well-established leader in asphalt paving and roadway construction throughout Northeast Ohio. The team prides itself on delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a collaborative, team-first culture. We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple projects from award through closeout. This role plays a critical part in driving profitability, efficiency, and communication across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to safety, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and performance.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage multiple projects from bid/award through closeout, including retainage collection
  • Collaborate with executive leadership (COO, President, CFO) to optimize job performance and exceed bid expectations
  • Maximize profitability through change orders, force accounts, and extra work opportunities
  • Assist in the bidding process, including bid entry and review with the team
  • Maintain consistent communication with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Develop and manage daily and master project schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure accurate and timely pay applications and invoicing in coordination with contract administration
  • Attend daily schedule meetings and monthly project review meetings
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support field communication and transitions
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and open communication across all levels
  • Support and enforce the use of HCSS systems and related technologies
  • HCSS & Field Oversight including verification of timecards for accuracy (labor, equipment, quantities, and notes), completion of at least one project safety audit per week per project, submission of accident reports, and coordination with HR as needed
What You'll Need:
  • General understanding of construction, with a focus on asphalt milling, paving, and roadway work
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Familiarity with construction software such as HeavyBid, HeavyJob, HCSS, E360, Concur, and related systems is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand financial reports, bid documents, contracts, and ODOT specifications
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
