$60,000-$75,000 per year (based on experience) Quality Welding & Fabrication is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to join our team and support steel fabrication projects from planning through completion. This is a professional, office-based position that requires a strong foundation in project coordination, business communication, organization, documentation, scheduling, and follow-through. Candidates should have relevant professional experience, post-secondary education, or a combination of both that prepares them to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, construction, engineering, or another technical industry is strongly preferred. Working closely with an experienced Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will assist with schedules, project documentation, costs, materials, customer communication, and other project-related activities while developing the knowledge and experience needed to take on increasing project management responsibility. What You'll Do Assist Project Managers with the coordination of projects from initial planning through completion Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project documentation Track project schedules, milestones, materials, costs, and deliverables Assist with estimating, purchasing, and procurement tracking Communicate professionally with customers regarding project status, schedules, and requirements Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Scheduling, Purchasing, and other internal departments Identify scheduling, material, or project issues that could affect delivery Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records Assist with job costing and project closeout Support company quality, safety, and on-time delivery expectations Qualifications Relevant professional experience in project coordination, project support, construction, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field and/or relevant post-secondary education Experience working in a professional office, project-based, technical, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred Steel fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or related industrial experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Experience coordinating schedules, documentation, purchasing, materials, customers, or other project-related activities preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, coworkers, and leadership Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project details simultaneously Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Strong problem-solving skills Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with limited supervision Ability and desire to grow into greater project management responsibility Education & Experience An associate's or bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Candidates without a degree should have relevant professional experience that demonstrates the skills needed to perform the position successfully.
