Job Description

A leading energy organization is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Project Manager to lead the day-to-day coordination of a complex, large-scale manufacturing facility development in Ohio. The project is currently in the engineering and planning stage and will progress through a phased construction and manufacturing launch. The selected professional will serve as the central liaison among executive leadership, the parent organization, engineering partners, contractors, utilities, investors, and other external stakeholders. This is a senior project leadership role rather than a traditional construction superintendent position. The successful candidate must be able to understand the details of an industrial build while also communicating effectively with executives, financial stakeholders, engineers, contractors, and public or utility organizations. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day coordination of a large industrial manufacturing facility build-out. Serve as the primary point of contact connecting executive leadership, the parent organization, contractors, engineers, utilities, investors, and other stakeholders. Coordinate project activity across the owner, contractor, and corporate teams. Manage project planning, schedules, estimates, budgets, billing, invoicing, approvals, and related documentation. Review contractor estimates and invoices before final executive approval. Coordinate infrastructure requirements, including electrical systems, piping, utilities, facility services, and potentially controlled or clean-room environments. Work with local utilities, water districts, power providers, engineering partners, and other external organizations. Support a two-phase manufacturing launch, balancing ongoing construction activity with the beginning of operational production. Identify project risks, dependencies, and decisions requiring executive attention. Translate technical, operational, and financial information for a wide range of stakeholders. Maintain clear communication and accountability across multiple organizations. Provide regular updates on project progress, costs, risks, schedules, and outstanding decisions. Represent the project appropriately in conversations with executives, corporate finance teams, investors, contractors, and technical specialists. Required Qualifications At least five years of project management experience. Demonstrated experience leading industrial or manufacturing facility construction or build-out projects. Experience working in a senior or lead project management capacity. Strong understanding of industrial engineering, facility infrastructure, and construction coordination. Experience managing relationships with general contractors, engineering teams, utilities, executives, and corporate stakeholders. Ability to review and coordinate estimates, invoices, budgets, project schedules, and financial documentation. Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to work comfortably in both industrial construction environments and executive or investor-facing settings. Willingness and ability to work on-site in Ohio. Ability to lead independently and drive detailed project activity with limited day-to-day direction. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related field. Experience with advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, solar, battery, automotive, pharmaceutical, or another high-tech manufacturing environment. Experience with clean rooms or other controlled manufacturing environments. Experience supporting phased facility launches in which manufacturing operations begin while construction continues. Experience partnering with utilities, including electrical and water providers. Experience working on major capital projects involving multiple corporate entities. Experience in energy infrastructure or energy development is helpful but not required. Title Senior Industrial Project Manager Location West Ohio Client Industry Energy Compensation flex Ref
