Project Manager

Job Description

We're working with a growing industrial automation and custom machine-building company in the Van Wert area that is looking to add a Project Manager to its team. This person will take ownership of custom automation projects from kickoff through completion, serving as a key point of contact for customers while coordinating closely with engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and other internal teams. It's a good fit for someone who has managed technical projects within automation, machine building, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage custom automation projects from initiation through completion Own project schedules, budgets, milestones, and overall delivery Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and other internal stakeholders Manage scope changes, project risks, delays, and competing priorities Lead project meetings and provide clear updates on progress, timelines, and challenges Ensure projects remain aligned with customer expectations, quality standards, scope, and budget Help identify and resolve issues throughout project execution
What We're Looking For:
3-7+ years of Project Management experience, ideally within industrial automation, custom machinery, manufacturing, or engineered equipment Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope, and customer expectations Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills Ability to work effectively with engineering and other technical teams General understanding of custom machinery and industrial automation, including mechanical systems, controls, and machine-building processes Strong problem-solving, organization, and leadership skills PMP or similar certification is a plus, but not required
