Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Specialist, Business Process Improvement & VOS owns discrete project phases across Opportunity-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI), Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), and/or Services within the Americas region. The Specialist manages working-level relationships within a function, partners with business leaders on policies and procedures, and serves as an informal mentor to peers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Breadth:
Independently navigates one process at the right depth Knows what to ask and who to ask it Earns SME trust through disciplined partnership
Project Ownership:
Owns discrete OTC, PTP, NPDI, SIOP or Services project phases Manages self with light oversight Prepare flowcharts and reporting packages Perform root cause analysis Identify AI and automation opportunities
Stakeholder Management:
Manages working-level relationships within a function Beginning to navigate competing priorities Partner with business leaders on policies and procedures Liaise with Learning and Development Plans change management communications Executes training
Problem Complexity:
Ambiguous problems with a familiar process Develops structured approach with support
People & Team Impact:
Informal mentor to peers Models team norms May lead small working groups
Demonstrates Vertiv Behaviors Tools & Methods:
Proficient with toolset Utilize VOS governance to plan, facilitate, and manage BPI initiatives Create and maintain projects in ServiceNow
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline. Introductory knowledge in all areas of project planning, development, management, and implementation.
Work Experience:
4-8 years of experience in project management or exposure to at least one of the following processes: OTC, PTP, NPDI, SIOP, and/or Services. Experience in an international and culturally diverse organization.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; other languages are a plus. Good communicator, confident in interacting with all levels of individuals across a variety of internal/external functions.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems. Good attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
Intermediate experience with ERP financial applications (Oracle preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Project management experience and familiarity with Agile process improvement. Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
