Project Controls Coordinator

- This Opportunity
- WSP is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to join their Project Controls team supporting major projects. This individual will be located in one of our WSP locations in either Tulsa OK or Dallas TX.
- Your Impact
- + Support Project Managers in maintaining accurate project budgets, forecasts, commitments, actual costs, accruals, and financial data within project controls and financial systems.
+ Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to collect project updates and ensure cost, schedule, and project data is current, complete, and accurately recorded.
+ Assist with monthly project controls activities, including cost tracking, forecast updates, variance analysis, accrual collection, and project reporting.
+ Prepare and distribute project status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and financial summaries to support project decision-making.
+ Monitor project data quality, identify discrepancies or missing information, and work with project teams to resolve data issues in a timely manner.
+ Support project setup activities, including work order creation, charge code administration, project documentation management, and configuration of project controls systems.
+ Maintain project document controls, including document registers, revision status, distribution, filing, and records completeness, and support the tracking of tasks, action items, deliverables, due dates, and project checklists through completion.
+ Facilitate communication between Project Managers, Project Controls, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project status, costs, forecasts, and key deliverables.
+ Assist with change management, invoice tracking, commitment management, project closeout activities, and continuous improvement of project controls processes and reporting tools
- Who You Are
- Minimum Requirements:
- + Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. + 1-3 years of experience supporting project controls, cost controls, project coordination, project administration, project management, or related functions on capital projects.
+ Experience with document management or document controls, including maintaining project records and registers and tracking tasks, action items, deliverables, due dates, and checklists to completion.
+ Foundational understanding of project cost management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
+ Experience working with project management, financial, ERP, PMIS, document management, or project controls systems. Familiarity with tools such as EcoSys, SAP, Procore, e-Builder, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to organize, analyze, and maintain project data.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with Project Managers, project teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
+ Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, or data visualization platforms is preferred but not required. \#LI-MP1
