Job Description

Job Summary The Project Manager - Aerospace & Site Operations is responsible for leading complex aerospace, defense, and government projects from contract award through project closeout. This role provides leadership for planning, execution, financial performance, customer communication, and project delivery while ensuring compliance with M2's AS9100 Quality Management System, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations. Project management is the primary responsibility. When assigned to field projects, the Project Manager also serves as M2's onsite representative. Essential Functions Lead assigned projects from award through closeout. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk registers. Review contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and closeout activities. Serve as the primary customer contact throughout project execution. Monitor project performance and initiate corrective actions as needed. Review and manage change orders and requests for information. Facilitate communication across operations, engineering, procurement, quality, accounting, and customers. Manage RFIs, change orders, reporting, invoicing support, and project financial performance. Ensure compliance with the AS9100 Quality Management System and customer requirements. Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to resolve quality issues and support corrective actions. Serve as onsite representative coordinating subcontractors, logistics, inspections, turnover, and safety. Support invoicing, financial reporting, and profitability. Travel to customer locations, project sites, and M2 facilities as required; support extended and remote assignments. Site Operations (When Assigned) Serve as M2's onsite representative during field execution. Coordinate daily work activities, subcontractors, and customer representatives. Verify required tools, materials, permits, and equipment are available before work begins. Promote compliance with safety, quality, security, and customer requirements. Monitor field progress and resolve routine site issues. Coordinate inspections, punch lists, turnover, and demobilization. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong Department of Defense or aerospace site operations management skills. Deep knowledge of DoD regulations, policies, and procedures related to project/site management and cost control. Extensive knowledge and experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate technical requirements into business objectives. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to respond to frequent, competing priorities and responsibilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities Ability to build collaborative relationships across customers and internal teams Analyze technical and financial information to support decision making Must be able to pass a criminal background check, and ensure proper handling of Controlled Classified Information (CUI) Ability to work effectively in manufacturing, construction, and remote project environments Ability to travel and work onsite for extended periods as business needs require. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) or more years of experience managing aerospace, defense, industrial, construction, or government projects. Experience leading cross-functional project teams and coordinating subcontractors. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, customer communication, and project financial performance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Pay:
$112,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
