Full Job Description Status:
Exempt, full-time (40 hours a week), permanent dependent upon completion of a 1-year probationary period. Mandatory seasonal overtime.
Job Summary:
The project manager will oversee planning and implementation of a portfolio of ecological restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, environmental science, and a passion for ecological restoration. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring that restoration efforts meet ecological goals. This position will conduct work both outdoors and in an office setting. This position will report to the Senior Project Manager.
Location:
Hillsboro, Oregon. Project sites across the Pacific Northwest.
Transportation:
Provide own transportation to work sites, Hillsboro office, or other planned locations.
Compensation & Benefits:
$57,000 to $75,000, DOE. Paid time off, sick leave, medical and dental insurance, monthly phone stipend or company issued cellphone, gas stipend, life insurance, retirement.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinate the execution of restoration projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and ACFM profitability requirements. Partner with Project Development Managers to implement new projects. Conduct site risk assessments; Identify potential project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful and safe projects. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring that projects remain within financial constraints; ensure that invoices are sent to clients and payments received in a timely manner. Clearly outline field staff on desired project outcomes and goals and ensure that field teams are equipped and empowered to complete assigned projects on time and to quality specifications; foster a professional, collaborative, and results-oriented environment on all projects. Act as a liaison between company, customers, field staff, and vendors, and address any questions, concerns, or complaints throughout the project. Deliver and maintain all documented ACFM standards of success in safety, quality, and output, on all projects. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, customers, and coworkers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving project objectives. Valid driver's license. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and related project management software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field (Master's preferred). Previous background experience in project management, specifically in ecological restoration or related environmental projects. Strong knowledge of ecological principles, restoration techniques, and relevant regulations. 2+ years of relevant field work experience required
Physical Requirements:
Ability, motivation, and endurance for eight to ten hours of productive manual labor Ability to work outdoors across uneven terrain during inclement weather Ability to safely lift 60 lbs. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
